Our overnight tours are temporarily unavailable. If your are interested in any of these, please contact us.
This overnight package takes longer than our others, so it needs to be planned around what else you would like to do.
We take a short boat ride up river and then up a beautiful stream. We walk from there. We start in a small lowland meadow but the majority of the morning is walking through dipteracarp forest. There is a rocky stream along the way, with a pool and twin waterfalls, where you can take a dip, if you like. We make our way up the not too taxing hill and along the hilltop plateau, until it opens out into a beautiful large meadow.
We then have lunch and spend the afternoon exploring the meadow, which has a mixture of habitats, including a rocky area with many pitcher plants and a large grassy area with Melaleuca trees.
We camp in the meadow and, after our meal, we have a night walk there.
In the morning, we get up fairly early and, after breakfast, set off to walk a different route back to the start point. This is a much more open walk than the previous morning and there is a good chance to see birds along the way. We make a very gentle decent of the hill before entering another meadow. This is a lowland meadow and subject to flooding in the rainy season. Here we will have lunch and explore a little before heading back to the boat and returning to Gee’s Nature Tours.

What you need
It could get pretty hot and sunny during this tour. Therefore, you should have clothes that provide decent coverage or sunscreen. A hat is also a good idea.
Any comfortable (ideally closed) footwear is OK for this tour. In the rainy season, you will get wet feet, so, if you prefer, you can borrow some footwear from us. It is a good idea to also have some footwear that is easy to slip on (e.g. flip-flops) in case you need to get up in the night.
We advise you to bring a camera or at least a phone that can take a decent picture.
