@richardking, do you know of a reliable resource for looking up images of Salticidae (and spiders in general)? I posted this in the Jumping Spiders (Salticidae) group on Facebook and was given the ID Cosmophasis thalassina, though one person comment to ask how to distinguish that from C. umbratica. "Research Grade" images of C. umbratica on here are confusing as there seem to be at least three different types shown (so not just the normal sexual dimorphism).

@geechartier... yes... i have observed that there were many misidentifications of C.umbratica and C.thalassina here on iNat... with many mistaking one for the other.! heres an example of a male C.thalassina > https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/31214680 note the markings on the abdomen.!

@richardking Thank you. Now I see a properly identified photo of C. thalassina it is so obviously different!
