Taxon: Aedes laniger [species]

As per Rattanarithikul et al. 2006; differentiated from Ae. (Mu.) quasiferinus by lack of preapical band on foretibia.

@ospr3y, I am not sure species level ID is possible. The key states: Foretibia with apical white band less than 0.25 length of tibia, and with median pale band or patch => Mu. quaisiferinus Foretibia with apical white band 0.25 or more length of tibia, or median pale band absent => Mu. laniger In this example, the apical band is less than 0.25 of length of foretibia but there is significant wear in the median area of the right foretibia and the left foretibia is out of focus, so (I think) impossible to determine if there is a median pale band or patch.
