@mettcollsuss thank you. I am not qualified to agree with your ID. Hopefully, another ant expert will. Do you have any ideas on the behaviour in the first photo. These ants were just a few cms from the tockay tail. It looks almost like the one on the left is restraining one ant and chastising the other three, who are bowing down in deference. Obviously, I realise that is highly improbable, but it just seems quite odd behaviour.
